World wide
Tea is attracting attention.
In recent years, the situation surrounding tea has been such that in Japan, due to the diversification of lifestyles, the annual amount of green tea purchased per household is on the decline, but globally, the functionality and benefits of green tea are increasing due to increasing health consciousness. It is attracting attention and demand is increasing.
In addition, tea is not just a beverage of choice, but a tool that soothes the soul and facilitates communication. In recent years, opportunities to interact with tea in various ways other than ``drinking'' such as ``eating'' and ``experiencing'' tea have been increasing.

Shizuoka, the capital of tea
The World Tea Festival has been held once every three years since its inception in 2001 as Japan's first comprehensive tea exposition, with the aim of disseminating the appeal of tea both domestically and internationally. At the 8th World Tea Festival 2022, a record seven hundred and forty thousand people from 20 countries and regions participated, and each time the World Tea Festival became a center of tea production, distribution, research, etc. Shizuoka's international recognition has been increased.
Now that the spread of the new coronavirus has subsided and overseas travelers are returning, by creating new value for tea, we can successfully capture inbound demand and expand exports of Japanese tea, while also attracting the younger generation domestically. The 2025th World Tea Festival will be held in 9, with the aim of presenting the appeal of tea to participants, allowing them to come into contact with tea cultures from around the world and discover their own unique world of tea. It will be held.
