Overview

The SweeTEA pairing will feature sweets that were awarded in a tea-based sweets contest, with Chef Yoroizuka Toshihiko as the chief judge.

You can enjoy the pairing of the award-winning sweets with tea brewed by a Japanese tea instructor.

Toshi Yoroizuka's baked goods will also be on sale.

 *October 23rd, ToshiYoroizuka Owner Chef Toshihiko Yoroizuka will be visiting (scheduled to start at 2pm in the exchange hall).

*As the amateur division is a recipe contest, students from Chuo Culinary and Confectionery College will be making the products on the day of the sale. (They also made the products during the tasting judging of the contest and provided them to Chef Yoroizuka and the other judges.)

* Chef Yoroizuka will be visiting the SweetTEA pairing venue (10th floor exchange hall) around 14:00 on October 23rd.

*Autographs and photo opportunities will be available for customers who purchase Toshi Yoroizuka products.

Chef Yoroizuka and other judges of the contest, as well as Japanese tea instructors, have selected the best types and varieties of tea to pair with each dessert. Enjoy the tea pairings of sweets and tea.

About the Tea Sweets Contest

Final results

The judges, including Toshihiko Yoroizuka, the owner chef of the competition and a familiar face on television, conducted a tasting and evaluation of the dishes, and one Grand Prize, two Excellence Prizes, two Merit Prizes and a Rose Prize were selected in each category.

From the submitted works, 10 works in the professional category and 14 works in the amateur category were selected to advance to the final judging.

Applications closed on Friday, February 2025, 28.There were 75 entries in the professional category and 179 in the amateur category.
